So it’s been a minute since I’ve thought about this blog. In the back of my mind, I’ve been saying.. “Pam you need to write, you need to write”, but life gets in the way and well I’ll have to give up something.
Today was different, I guess I had a break through. I’ve been really working on myself and getting adjusted to life being a working mom, a wife and a mother of two babies. Trying to get back into shape, while trying to hustle and gain multiple streams on income. Needless to say, it’s been rough. Everyday i’m forgetting something, or I can not finish a task i assigned myself for that day. It’s almost impossible to get to the nail shop, or beauty shop.
Today i said, remember Pam, people make time for what they want, and for what they don’t… they’ll find an excuse. I came to a realization that I am overworked, and exhausted. When i do find those moment, of stillness. I usually just want to relax and sleep. It’s been a challenge making it day to day.
Today was different. I cut out the foolish time of “vegging out on the couch” after the boys went to sleep. I watched a few videos on my 2016 vision (by the way, i love doing vision boards, and doing visual techniques… to come in a separate blog) and a light went off. I MUST PRACTICE BETTER TIME MANAGEMENT.
So as I’m writing this and I should be sleep..(my 9-5 starts at 6am)… I’m changing my path. Changing my thoughts and overall preparing for the best years of my life. Yeah being a new mom is hard, but its a reward. Almost like how you may secretly wish to win the lotto so you can quit your job. Well this is a job that I never want to quit. Everyday is challenging but the rewards are amazing. Like when my little one hugs my neck so tight, or gives me a kiss. Those moments are the best.
I said all of this to say, that I have put together a sample schedule for myself. Ways to maximize my time.
Wake – 5:20
Workout – 5:30 – 6:00
Work – 6:30 – 17:00
Home – 18:00
Eat dinner – 19:00 – 19:30
Get boys ready for bed – 19:30 – 21:00
Spend time with the hubby 😉 21:00 – 22:00
Second job – 22:00 – 23:30
Blog 23:30 – 00:00
I know this is not ideal for sleep, especially when the boys still wake up periodically throughout night and need consoling, but i have to try something. My husband really helps out and sometimes will allow me to sleep and he will get the boys ready for bed.
My second job fluctuates. RD is usually on Monday and Wednesday, and possibly Thursday nights . While DTV work (if any) will start at 22:00 and will go until 00:00 or 00:30 (which is why i’m up now..lol)
You gotta hustle for the things you want. If its important to you, you will find a way. And that’s what I’m trying to do. Find a way to make it happen…
Peace and blessing y’all!!
